Why do ADIs need a standards check?
As we have read in the last section, ADIs are required to undergo standards checks as a condition of staying on the register. Passing the standards check means that they are maintaining their professional standards in continuing to deliver quality driver training for people from all backgrounds, whether they are just starting out with learning to drive for the very first time, or experienced drivers who require some refresher or remedial training, ADIs have an extremely powerful role to play when it comes to assessing and delivering tailored, quality training for each individual’s learning needs, with the overall aim of further improving road safety.
Some ADIs will naturally be proud of their standards check grade and use it to advertise their services to attract new business, so thinking with your business hat on, a standards check grade can be used to help you generate new business too.
