The standards check virtual classroom series is made up of four, two-hour virtual classroom sessions delivered through Zoom.
The sessions will cover:
- Standards check preparation
- Lesson planning
- Risk management
- Teaching and learning strategies
The sessions will involve Q&A, group discussion and group work and will be led by two of the DIA’s experienced trainers. You can download the session overviews below for more information on what will be covered.
You can purchase the series as a whole or just book onto individual sessions depending on your requirements.

We also offer practical in-car and face-to-face one-to-one standards check training*. You can apply what you’ve learned from our virtual classroom series during the one-to-one sessions, which are specifically tailored to your standards check.

*To attend the Zoom sessions you will need a PC, laptop or tablet that can run Zoom and must also have a camera and microphone so you are able to participate fully in the sessions. You are responsible for ensuring you can access and navigate zoom and that you have you have a strong enough internet connection. If you cannot join the session due to technical difficulties, we cannot guarantee that you will be moved to another session.
**During this course you will be placed into small ‘live’ discussion groups and will need to converse. Please be aware of how to mute and unmute your microphone for the general discussions that will also be taking place.
