Why Level 1?
A level one safeguarding course will teach you why safeguarding is so important and offers a comprehensive knowledge of the signs of abuse and neglect and how to identify that they are occurring. It’ll also cover how to respond to a disclosure, report your concerns, and record information. Employees at all levels, including managers, supervisors, full-time employees, part-time employees, and volunteers, can all benefit from level one training. A range of subjects are covered in level one, such as safeguarding legislation and guidance, making judgements, identifying indicators of abuse or neglect, dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints, and much more.
A level one qualification in safeguarding can be transferable to many occupations and fleet organisations, including, driving instructors, teachers, taxi drivers, social workers, and those delivering speed awareness courses. A level one qualification in safeguarding will provide you with a firm understanding of safeguarding risks that you can use in your professional career. Depending on the sector you work in and your job role, you may be required to obtain level one safeguarding training.
