What you'll learn
During the 3-hour course, you will cover the following topics:
- What Mindfulness is... and what it isn't!
- Understanding basic neuroscience – learn what's really going on beneath the surface on a biochemical level.
- How Mindfulness improves Mental Health, Focus, Attention, Memory, and Emotional Intelligence.
- Mindfulness and Compassion are described as being "Two Wings of the Same Bird" - what does this mean?
- Meditation – specially designed for people who "can't meditate".
- The Research into Mindfulness and Road Safety.
The sessions will be divided into two 1.5-hour segments with a short comfort break in between.
What you'll need
- A raisin or small piece of food: This will be used during the workshop for specific mindfulness exercises.
- A quiet, warm space: Choose a location where you will be free from distractions to ensure you can fully engage with the workshop.
- Full attention: Please avoid eating meals or multitasking during the session, as your complete focus is required for this workshop.
- Cameras and microphones: Ensure that your camera and microphone are switched on during the session to facilitate interaction and full participation.
This workshop includes
- E-Certificate: Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive an electronic certificate as proof of your newly acquired skills in mindfulness.
How to attend
This course is an online workshop conducted using Zoom, a popular video conferencing platform that allows participants to engage in live, interactive sessions from the comfort of their own homes or offices. By utilising Zoom, attendees can join the workshop from any location with a stable internet connection, eliminating the need for travel and providing a convenient learning experience.
To attend this Zoom worksop, you will require a PC, laptop, or tablet capable of running Zoom, along with a camera and microphone to enable full participation in the workshop. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can access and navigate Zoom and that you have a strong enough internet connection. If you cannot join the session due to technical difficulties, we cannot guarantee that you will be moved to another session.
During the workshop, participants will be able to see and hear the trainer, San Harper, as she delivers the course content. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and interact with other attendees in real-time.

San Harper - ADI & Mindfulness Coach
San Harper, an experienced ADI & Mindfulness Coach, will be guiding you through this workshop. With 19 years of experience as a Grade A ADI, San is also the UK’s leading contributor in Mindfulness and Compassion within Road Safety for the DVSA and other industry leaders. Her courses in Mindfulness and Compassion have attracted ADIs and Road Safety Advocates both nationally and internationally.
