Traffic signs play a vital role in directing, informing and controlling road users’ behaviour in an effort to make the roads as safe as possible for everyone
This makes the knowledge of traffic signs essential. Not just for new drivers and riders needing to pass their theory test but for all road users, including experienced professional drivers.

Activity:
Spend about 30 minutes on this activity
Imagine you have been asked to prepare a short (10 minute) presentation for a group of 16 year-olds who will soon be applying for their provisional driving licences. The subject of your presentation is traffic signs and white lines.
Consider how you could make this presentation interesting. You may consider a variety of learning and delivery methods to provide an enjoyable learning experience, for example a team quiz. For this activity you will need to refer to the publication ’Know Your Traffic Signs.’ You should submit either a PowerPoint presentation that you would deliver to the group with guidance notes for the tutor, or if you have taken a teaching qualification such as PTLLS or the Award in Education and Training you can submit a lesson plan including time, subject, teacher and learner activities, and assessment methods.
Once you have completed this activity, click on the PowerPoint upload quiz below and follow the instructions.
Keep it on file and try to put it into practice!
